YesStyle.com is a shopping site that’s based in Hong Kong, Hong Kong that focuses on beauty, fashion, and lifestyle products. They specialize in selling Asian brands, styles, and trends that buyers can’t necessarily get in countries like the U.S., the U.K., or Australia. They also provide collections and recommendations that best suit what you are looking for in its asian-styled outfits and trending products.
As a communications major with an interest in Asian fashion, I would be valuable to the company because I could represent what Asian-Americans would like to see on the site. There aren’t many shops that offer this kind of style in American shopping malls and to be able to curate towards what would like to be seen on the site from an Asian-American perspective would help in sales and well as marketing.
Netflix
Netflix is a streaming entertainment platform that offers TV series, documentaries, and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. They also create their own original shows and movies. Their platform allows their users to watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on any internet-connected screen all without commercials or commitments.
As a communications major, I have experience with interpersonal relationships and will know how to communicate with others to get the people that they want to work for them. I can also use my creativity to help attract more viewers or users to their site. I can help them come up with new ideas on how to engage, advertise, and brand their new originals.
Webtoon
Webtoon is a digital entertainment service that offers webcomics, also known as webtoons, for their audience on a free mobile app and site. They work with webtoon artists/creators and release them weekly. They offer many genres of webtoons and curate and recommend new webtoons to their readers based on the ones they have already read.
With my creativity as a communications major who likes to tell stories, I think I would offer them many new ideas that could attract new readers and story ideas for the webtoon creators. Having used their app, I know what can help them highlight the best features that users typically use. I can also give them insight into what would make certain webtoons more appealing.
People in my Major
Emily Offerdahl is a communications expert working for Portland State University and has her own blog. She presents herself with a lot of confidence and knowledge, as well as independence. She also has a lot of connections with others in her field. Offerdahl seems like someone who has a lot of experience and a knowledgeable person.
Remy Ungerer is a communications major working for Jenners Communications. She presents herself as someone who maintains information on trends on social media and has a lot of connections. Ungerer seems very confident and skilled in media and publicity. She also has a lot of experience in her field.

Kari Perez is a Vice President of Communications at Netflix. She presents herself as someone who works well with others and has a lot of different connections. She is also someone who learns things and adapts to things quickly. She is also very skilled in her environment.
Use of Website
I would use a website to position myself as a promising candidate by showcasing my skills and personality. Employers aren’t necessarily looking just for the qualifications of skill but looking for what type of people they think would be easy to work with or people they would want to work with. The website would also be a good way to show my creativity skills. I can who them what I can make digitally and the designs or aesthetics I can create. I would also use it as a way to show my achievements.
